Scratching The Surface is the street art of Portugal’s Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils). Starting his budding career as a traditional graffiti artist, Vhils has since taken to exploring less conventional mediums, manipulating his imagery into layers of torn away billboard advertising, etching into metal, and chiseling his work directly into walls. Vhils’ work is currently showing through August 6 at the Lazarides gallery, London. (via 30gms)
